John Fogerty at Mohegan Sun Arena

Why see John Fogerty?

Fortunate Son

Founder member of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty's unmistakable growl was a staple of American radio during the 60s, on tracks like Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary and the anti-Vietnam war anthem Fortunate Son.

Selling millions of records worldwide, the group disbanded in 1970, at which point Fogerty pursued a highly successful solo career, penning hits including Old Man Down the River and Rockin' All Over the World (later made famous by Status Quo).

Don't miss Fogerty when heads out on tour across the country, bringing his talents a stage near you.

Fogerty Rocks, But To Loud & To Much Distortion

I attended the John Fogerty Creedence Clearwater Revival Celebration last night at Mohegan Sun Arena. The opening act was Fogerty’s Suns band who were musically proficient, but way to loud with most of the set having lots of distortion due to the volume. I expected Fogerty to tone down the volume a bit because the size of the room makes for lots of distortion, but he sadly did not. Fogerty opened his set with Bad Moon Rising after about a 5 minute film of him explaining that this Celebration tour is due to the fact that he now owns all his music after decades of legal wrangling with the record company who opened it. For a 77 year old man his voice is still excellent and he hit all the right notes during the 23 son set. Highlights included Run Through The Jungle, , Green River, Born On The Bayou, Who’ll Stop The Rain, Fortunate Son & An Encore Of Down On The Corner & Proud Mary. Overall the concert was excellent with the only problem being that it was way to loud. I’m 61 and have attended hundreds of concerts including The Who 3 times, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, The Stones, so I’m no stranger to loud concerts (The Who being the loudest) but the arena was to small for that level of volume and it tended to distort the music & lyrics at times. Several other people who I talked to after the show agreed that it was too loud. Overall I give the show 4/5 ⭐️s ... Read more

Fogerty at Ravinia

It was a great show, one of the best. John himself had the energy of a person 25. He did most of his old songs both from CCR and solo. He also did some new songs and they sounded great. Unlike his sons band in the opening act, you could hear and understand the words. His sons when they played with John showed the old man taught them well. I hope to see him again. Just a great show. ... Read more
